Message from the Chairman

Dear Friends and Supporters,
I am MD Khairul Alam, the Chairman of INSAF, a dedicated charity organization established in 2009 in Sylhet, Bangladesh. With the support of our community and partners, we have grown to become a beacon of hope and change for underprivileged children and women in our region. Since our registration with the Ministry of Social Welfare and the Youth Development Department of Bangladesh in 2011, INSAF has focused on several crucial areas: enhancing educational opportunities for underprivileged children, empowering women, combating child labor, addressing domestic violence, and advocating against early marriage. Our mission is driven by the belief that every individual deserves the chance to thrive, regardless of their background. Through collaboration with esteemed organizations such as the British Council Bangladesh, the Social Welfare and Youth Development Departments, and various local and international NGOs, we have implemented numerous initiatives that have made a tangible impact in our community. Our programs are designed not only to provide immediate relief but also to foster long-term development and sustainability. As we continue our journey, we invite local and international organizations, social workers, and compassionate individuals to join us in our mission. Together, we can create a brighter future for those in need and build a society where everyone can reach their full potential.

In one fine morning in 2006 I met Mr. Alam in a job interview at Jalalabad Can't Public School and College where I was a job seeker. Mr. Alam informed me the job availability of a college named Hafsa Mazumdar Womens' College at Zakiganj, Sylhet. He helped me to apply there and later on I joined in the college as a lecturer. Now I have become the Principal of the college. With the course of time the college became a Degree college where more than 2000 girls are studying together. Mr. Khairul, the initiator of INSAF, helped the community over years through his dedicated social work. He arranged many programs, trainings and seminars here under the banner of INSAF. He collaborated Active Citizen Project of British Council and Digital Literacy Project of the youth Development Department in the year of 2011, 2012 and 2013 in our college campus.
